🏔️Monthly Debt Climb Recap – June 2025
📊 Current Debt Overview + Progress Table
Here’s where I stand on my journey to zero debt as of June 1, 2025. Below is a side-by-side comparison with last month, showing exactly how much progress I made.

I reduced my total debt by $1,995.57, which puts me at a pretty low 0.014% progress for the month. It may seem small, but every dollar counts — especially when the snowball starts to roll. I’m happier with the fact that because I put so much to paying off my Chase credit card I no longer have to worry about that!
đź—“ What Happened This Month
The Good
The feeling of not having to deal with a credit card anymore gives me a little bit more of my mental peace. I don’t have to worry about this card gaining interest anymore and putting me further away from my goals.
I remember starting this journey thinking “how am I going to do this with such high amounts?” This first month has shown me that when I really buckle down and get my priorities right, life has a way of falling into place. I’m not sure what psychologists would call this but I feel because I’ve gotten clear on my goals, I’ve gotten clear on moving everything out of the way to accomplish them. Ultimately the progress is small but it’s progress in the RIGHT direction.
The Bad
Looking at how much I’ve put towards my debt this month I’m not gonna lie, I’ve impressed myself. Granted I did get a small commission which led me to paying off my credit card that much sooner but still. You have no idea how much I wanted to use that money for fun stuff. Actually paying attention reminds me how bad it got out of hand.
🎓 Lessons Learned
The most important lesson I’ve learned this month is that I’m not alone. Since starting to be more honest and open about my debt and my desire to get rid of it so many people have reached out and showed support. Not only support but have found support in me with being honest and open about it. So many people have debt and seeing someone be honest about it gives other people courage.
It makes me truly happy that I can give others the courage needed to start their journey to zero debt.
đź’ˇ Tip of the Month
The first (and arguably most important) thing to do if you want to get a handle on your financial life is to create and use a budget!
